Bottles of mostly used up perfume,
clinging to their remaining sprays.
Brushes intermingled with hair,
waiting for mine to grow long again.
Low quality lotions and shower gels,
wishing they'd never been produced.
Abandoned and broken jewelry,
absorbed in low esteem and loneliness.
Old makeup brushes scattered,
demoted to the backup position.
Bright hues of nail polish,
anticipating future use.
Misplaced vitamin samples,
wondering where their rightful place is.
A worn dollar-store mirror,
hibernating until the good one is lost.
A dull crimson flashlight,
useless in a drawer of lifeless things.
